Team Rev-Up Rules and Regulations

Post by MEXXA8 on Mon Jan 17, 2011 12:53 am

1. Rev-Up Car Club membership is open to all Infiniti G35/G37 and 350Z/370Z cars. All other Nissan and Infiniti vehicles are welcome to the club, with understanding that its focus lies within the G and Z family. All vehicles considered for membership will be assessed prior to being accepted.

2. All vehicles are expected to be clean, maintained up to the vehicle’s maximum potential and not express any disrespectful material, which may be deemed inappropriate by the public. Remember wherever you go you are representing Rev-Up Car Club and the club’s reputation.

3. Meetings are to be held at least twice each month, location to be announced. Future events locations and times will be determined at monthly meetings. Meetings will consist of club business and any other topics that are deemed necessary for Rev-Up Car Club to function as expected. Club meetings are open to any member, who would like to attend, with all members being able to include their input.

4. In addition to monthly meetings each member will be expected to attend at least 4 club functions (install meets, cruises, mod parties, cookouts, etc.) during the year. When at car shows, you are encouraged to help members setup for the show when you are not entering the show. Club participation for shows is highly encouraged as it plays a major role in the clubs appearance and reputation. Members must be respectful to all other members and follow appropriate behavior to show no disrespect to other cars or the general public.

5. Club events and social gatherings shall be selected and scheduled by the Board of Directors. All club events/outings and social gatherings will be open to all spouses, girlfriends/boyfriends, family, or other guests. All club members and their guests are expected to act in an appropriate manner at all times when representing Rev-Up Car Club at all club functions/events.

6. When becoming a member you are required to undergo a 15-day probationary period. This will give current members time to assess the individual’s dedication, personality and vehicle. All probationary members are expected to attend meetings and club functions during the probation period. It is important that we uphold this rule to get to know the prospective member. Following the probationary period, board members will conduct a formal vote to be held during a mandatory monthly meeting. All potential memberships are subject to the majority rule. Upon acceptance, Rules # 3 and 4 shall be followed.

7. As a member you will be required to pay monthly dues ($10/mo) that will contribute to such things as club website, web space, decals, t-shirts, lottery and functions/events held by the club. UNLESS you opt out of the premier membership and sign up for the free membership. Free membership will entitle you to attend meets and events and have access to club’s forum and website, but will not entitle to receive any free merchandise or discounts on club merchandise. Monthly dues are non-refundable. Club membership will entitle you to club discounts, decals, website space for pictures, and possible sponsorship where available.

8. All club members are required to abide by State, County and City Motor Vehicle rules and regulations. Abuse of this rule by a member is subject to their membership reevaluation.

9. No member will have possession of alcohol, drugs, firearms or any illegal items at club functions.

10. No member should use profane language, gestures, insults or misbehavior towards any club member, or during any club function or gathering. Abuse of this rule could result in possible expulsion from the club.

11. Termination of membership will be dealt with on a case-by-case basis. Should a member be terminated, they must remove any association with Rev-Up Car Club on their vehicle, e-mail and forum signatures, or websites if applicable.

Rev-Up Car Club Code of Conduct.

Like all clubs. Rev-Up Car Club members must adhere to a code of conduct. While we are not out to police, a basic foundation MUST be followed. This keeps a good standing image among the general public. A simple thing to keep in mind is, Once a club has gotten a reputation for having unruly members, it is virtually impossible to rid it's self of that. This drags the entire club and its members down, which could and in most cases would result in loss of sponsorship, membership and lead to a down fall of the club. These simple rules are not flexible. If you break them your membership could be terminated.

Lets maintain common courtesy to the public. If you ever question your actions could be considered unacceptable, you most likely should not do it. Majority of the time, we will be participating in public events. We want to be courteous to public property and personnel, because our car group wants to gain and maintain a positive reputation. Showing courtesy will enable respect from vendors to allow us to return in future outings.

The following are strictly prohibited!
These rules are generally reserved for club events, and may also apply if caught by either a board member or fellow member if done outside a club event and is a serious offense.

1. Fighting (physically or verbally) with a fellow member or anyone else during events.

2. Dangerous, reckless driving during a club event, on public roads, parking lots, or fields. Keep it cool and save it for the race track. This includes excessive speeding, burnouts (unless specified event), donuts, revving up your engine, etc.

3. Engaging in any problematic argument with a sponsor. Only board members will handle sponsor problems.

4. Stealing, damaging someone else’s property, vandalism, destruction of private property, etc.

5. Extremely rude public behavior.

6. Illegal substance usage or sales.

7. Letting anyone use your membership ID card to receive discounts at club sponsors.

8. Altering or making a copy of your Membership ID card. We will reissue lost or stolen cards. (Small fee may apply)

9. Discrimination of other club members or belittling them. (Remember not everyone can either afford or wishes to upgrade or dress up their cars the same as you).
